The placement of hooks and scaling of the sliders has been a long standing issue but this one could get resolved just by adding the small floor hook option to the deco.

A small floor hook option would work just fine for all strongholds. There are more than a few small hooks close to the walls and the placement adjustment scaling on those is better than the large hooks.

The small floor hook wouldn't work without code changes, If you just allow it to be placed on a floor hook, the decoration would lie on the floor with the display facing to the ceiling.

 

I would really like a small floor mounted GTN, though, either the same model turned to stand upright or something similar to the desk computer.

 

Here's my workaround for on Yavin, works well with those wall hooks that leave your decorations hovering 1ft. in front of the wall:

I would be just as fine if they increased the offsets to that this wouldn't be a problem.

A simpler alternative would be to allow the wall-GTN to fit on a Small Wall hook. Since the small wall hooks are available at the bottom edge, the lower starting point should allow the wall GTN's to be moved closer to the ground.
