KendraP
I wouldn't expect 6.0 till the new year given the way bioware stated things: "At the end of the year, we’ll introduce an exciting new storyline and multiplayer gameplay – all leading to an explosive conflict with new characters to meet and planets to explore in the new year. " Maybe by November you get a FP or two to launch the story like SoR (which had 4 IIRC) and then if we are lucky come February or so (after anthem releases) we get 6.0 launch. Either way, I don't think you will see 6.0 till the new year. I said "no earlier than november" that certainly leaves the door open to be LATER than november. Quraswren
I said "no earlier than november" that certainly leaves the door open to be LATER than november. I think wide open would be an apt phrase but anything in this year for 6.0? I wouldn't want to get anyone's hopes up for that happening given the phrasing from bioware. I only mentioned November at all because someone else was claiming September, which considering all recent expansions have been November is more than likely far too soon. Thus the "AT THE EARLIEST" inclusion. The expansion can certainly still come LATER. Why are we even having this argument?

AscendingSky
This is how I imagine it working as well - November "teasers" and 2019 for anything called 6.0. To be honest, whenever EA announces any major content update, I always mentally add at least a one month delay to the initially announced timeframe. If it's only hinted to rather than definitively announced, I add a 2-3 month delay. I also always expect patches to either be pushed back a week or two, or to be so broken when they drop that they have to do emergency maintenance. This prevents me from being disappointed when the inevitable happens, or having to reschedule raids or RP events. Some might call this viewpoint pessimistic. I call it utilizing pattern recognition. It's good advice, though. Hard to be disappointed when you're expecting it, and when they DO meet their announced dates/times you get to be pleasantly surprised. Or people can keep acting like they've never seen this movie before and rage til the blood vessels in their brains finally pop

HKtheindomitable
Kinda sad that when it comes to bioware and SWTOR thats where we are. We can all thank E.A. for it. The effects of the game being rushed out the door, the staff layoffs (twice), and overall greediness of E.A., are still being felt. However, things seem to be changing. I'd love another big KotFE sized story expansion again at some point. I know we're supposed to get some SoR type expansions too.
Alec_Fortescue
Hey all, Still reading through the thread and all of your comments. I saw a number of times the Stronghold was mentioned and the question raised about whether you have to PvP. Easy answer - Nope! This is your stronghold and you'll purchase it on the fleet just like all the other strongholds. The PvP designated areas will have hooks so you can customize it with any of your decorations. The difference will be you can use those decorations to block Line of Sight, create barriers, and even set up chairs for other players to observe the action. But, it's your choice on how you use your own Stronghold. It'll have a fun beach area for those of us who like to catch some sun and...and lots more. It's a very large Stronghold. I also saw a question about Strongholds being purchased by a Guild and the answer to that is - Yes it can be a Guild Stronghold, too. We'll keep reading your comments. Keep in mind, the Roadmap doesn't provide you with all the details so you can expect to see more information, and gain access to the changes on PTS toward the end of June. Thanks, Keith--- Class changes are obviously planned for PvP updates, right?
cybearr
The 'choose your wz ' option cant come fast enough 3 huttballs one after the other tonight, god I hate that s**t. again pls consider doing a novare coast type wz instead of a new huttball, dont even know why you are pushing for it. I'd personally like to see more patterned after Voidstar. That one always reminded me of some of the attack matches in UT. But, that's just my 2 cents. Damask_Rose
This is how I imagine it working as well - November "teasers" and 2019 for anything called 6.0. Me too. Given that they have been taking 4-5 months per flashpoint, I’d guess November for prelude flashpoint 1 and 6.0 in the fall of 2019 depending on how many prelude flashpoints they have planned. (Hopefully no more nonsensical filler like Umbara & Copero!) Edited May 22, 2018 by Damask_Rose

(Hopefully no more nonsensical filler like Umbara & Copero!) While I am inclined to agree... I find it hard to believe they would miss the Christmas holiday window (2018). I can see the studio wanting to hold back until they think things are actually ready... but EA, the mother corporation, loves releasing and promoting things around the holiday window. Of course an MMO expansion may not qualify in EAs thinking.... but if it were to be a larger expac and be sold rather than free for subs... I would think EA would pressure for a holiday release. Only time will tell on this matter though. Now.. if we go two or more years between 5.0 and 6.0... and 6.0 is not at least twice the size of their normal expacs..... in my view.. they will have completely jumped the shark. I'm actually OK with smaller more frequent expacs as they have done in the past... but if you are going to double the time interval for the next expac.. it better be a "double-cheeseburger" for players. This exactly, as they said, their words, in the roadmap that " we’ll introduce a completely new storyline" introduce, so this is not an expansion or anything bulky, not this year. From all their wording I get that niggly feeling that 6.0 won't be a "usual" expansion at all but just more of what we have gotten post-KotET... I hate that feeling so much. kodrac
This roadmap has brought me back to the game. Hopefully it will live up to its potential and I’ll stick around. Thaladan
As we all know, Solo: A Star Wars™ Story, hits the theaters on May 25, 2018, so we’re celebrating by bringing back the casino with our Nar Shaddaa Nightlife event and offering a variety of new Cartel Market items including a sale of Scoundrel specific items but nothing new for the casino ... you really like to disappoint us do you? (and i don't speak about the double cxp event bug..) ---> total 5 minutes connecting instead of a full night.

Lirtoo
Stop with the cross faction ques. You guys continue to emphasize on things that kill the game and refuse to listen till its too late. Odessen sucks. Yavin 4 sucks. No body likes them. Take the hint. Like when command wasn't a "secondary" gearing system. Cross faction q's will kill pvp. You're wrong. I'm really happy for the cross-factions in those wz's and wish there were more of them. This makes me able to play rep side at all times with my best geared alts instead of having to log my poor imp characters for pops. You'll notice that you will meet the same people regardless. We all play both sides now and then.
Lunafox
Wow...so from now through September, the focus will just be PvP...interesting... No, not really. Aside from the house, I guess people like me can go beat akk dogs and wait til fall.
MortemXFive
As I’ve mentioned on the Bug Report forum, all companions recruited through Alliance alert missions, including returning companions for a specific class, no longer blink nor do their lips move when clicked on after being summoned. This error merits correcting, in the viewpoint of myself and most of my fellow subscribers I’m sure.
