Remnant Legay Underworld Knight Armor

I want the full resurrected knight's armor and have done more than 300 crates now. The crates drop 10 different armors. I got all 9 of them, but missing the head piece of the 10'th one - the armor I want. The other pieces of that armor has dropped 2 till 3 times. I have grinded about 200 crates just for the missing head piece and still nothing. It's starting to get sort of annoying. Edited by Lirtoo

Here's a secret that has worked for me. This is only through my observations, so think of that what you will, but it has worked for me. The drop rates will tend to skew towards the class that you are currently claiming the pieces with. So for instance, if you wanted the knight armor, then you would need to claim with a knight/warrior etc. When you are claiming large amounts of them is when you will definitely see class skew on the drop rates. Good Luck.

I'm currently working on this set for my Jedi. You need to focus on the daily Heroics that reward Ancient Artifact crates. Those (and only those) have the RNG table for this set. That's approximately 15 Heroic missions, or 15 crates per character you do those daily missions on. It's much quicker/easier to do them on a stealth class.

So far, I've opened nearly 200 of these crates, and I've gotten every piece except the legs, gloves, and bracers. Keep in mind there are two chest piece variants - one with a hood and one without. So I can confirm that you do eventually get the set pieces (RNG Gods willing), but it's obvious to me that it will take a ridiculous amount of farming to complete this set. Given how rare and cool looking the Underworld Knight set is, it's worth it, imo. Though I wouldn't mind if Bioware put this set up for sale on the CM.

For anyone who wants to see what the set looks like up close, Permon Trel (Tier 3 gear vendor on the Republic fleet) is wearing this set.

It isn't that at all. Each specialist crate type drops two armour types:

Aygo's pack (Locked Supply: Military Equipment) gives Trooper and Warrior armour.

Oggy's pack (Locked Supply Crate: Alien Research) gives Agent and Inquisitor armour.

Hylo's pack (Locked Supply Crate: Smuggled Goods) gives Smuggler and Bounty Hunter armour.

Sana-Rae's pack (Locked Supply Crate: Ancient Artifacts) gives Knight and Consular amour.

I have opened the crates on my shadow, assassin and commando (the only toons I have alliance allert). What I have observed, most ressurected knight gear has dropped on my commando. Regardless, Arkanian and Dreadguard gear drop most frequently being 50/50 knight/concular gear. It doesn't matter what class opens the crates in my experience. Arkanian and Dreadguard is a plague.

With the number of crates I've opened, I've probably gotten every piece. But I wouldn't know for sure because I always just vendor it. (It's all too uuugly)

While there are plenty of individual items from those sets that are ugly, I'd disagree that everything is. The Underworld Knight chest piece is one of the best looking armor items in the game for a Jedi. The Remnant Arkanian Trooper helmet also looks very cool when paired with the Remnant Resurrected Trooper chest piece. The Remnant Underworld Agent top is also one of the better trench coats in the game.

Of course, YMMV.

I Have gotten every set many times over except the Remnant Underworld Agent Jacket..... I want that jacket so bad.

Probabilities are a funny thing. If my calcs are correct, it looks like this:

Sana Rae gives 10 sets of armor (Five Knight, Five Consular) of 7 pieces each, so 70 pieces (assuming all are sets of 7 and no variants).

You might think that 300 Ancient lock boxes would do the trick. Afterall, that’s an average of over 4 of each piece. But the numbers say otherwise:

Assuming drops are evenly likely (which isn't a given):

Odds on a particular item not dropping: 1.3%

Odds on not completing a particular set: 1- (1-0.013)^7 = 8.8%

Odds on not completing the entire collection of 10 sets: 1- (1-0.013)^70 = 60%

It would take 450 Ancient crates to get the set completion probability over 90%.

Having said that, it doesn’t necessarily mean that BW evenly weighted these drops. I too get a lot more Arkanians and Dreadguards than the others.

... and I agree. almost all these sets are ugly!

[Edit: Underworld Knight is one of the nicer ones, IMO. But I have other armor that looks like it. A couple of the Warrior and Agent's are also pretty good. But most are freaky (IMO, of course) ]

Whenever I was hunting for specific Heroics Alliance Crates legacy gear, I would just select the Heroics which gifted the specific Alliance crates then ground them daily with Alts.

Those 500 crates I farmed were specifically Ancient Artifact crates, from which the Underworld Knight set drops.
