Colossal Monolith: “Breaking the Rift” increased damage

Hi all.

 

Last night, making the raid in 8 HM we observe that the channeled damage of “Breaking the Rift” has been increased in at least 50%, but the patch notes only reported the increase in damage at the end of the channeled when dont do the rift mechanic.

 

Has it been a hardening of intentional mechanics? or is it a bug?

The damage increase from the boss standing in a rift is 50%, so are you sure he wasn't standing in a rift?

Also, did you kill the Worldboss beforehand? Because without the buff from him(lasts 5hours) you'll take serious damage from the color debuffs.

 

But yeah, I felt that there was more damage going out. But that could be just subjective because the group is more spread out when you're actually plaing the simon says mechanic, so less aoe heals.

 

And of course, then happens sh*t like this:mad:

Yes, we have killed this boss above, every week at 8HM (3 weeks).

 

 

The data from the damage of "breaking the rift" is the average of the "starparse" of yesterday with the last week. And the damage has been increased by tick. There are times in every try there falls on the rift, but others do not. The average data are with try by 5 min o more.

Do you have some numbers about the damage ticks?

 

PS: Comparing average numbers from parses doesn't really work here, since the times he was standing in a rift could be vastly different. (e.g. 5 times in one parse, 0 times in another)

No, not really. As I said, it's more a subjective feeling than actual parsed numbers.

But we cleared this boss every week since it's been released, but on wednesday we didn't make it(there was more to it than just damage, like people being more stupid than usual, running into the wrong color, completely forgetting about picking up color etc :D).

Interesting. So they buffed the breaking the rift dmg and fixed the white circles to no longer work with saber reflect. Would appreciate these changes on the patch notes..

 

P.s. I cleared it twice this week with 2 different groups. One pumped 5.9k ehps and 4.7kehps (great heals), the other we had a sage DPS offhealing and bubbling on CD with 4.7kehps and 4.2kehps for the healers. But yes this boss is harder now, we got lucky and our kills usually flow when boss doesn't stand in a rift often during his siphon

Well the other night, we got both healer to 4k5+ Ehps and still wiping from siphon since while monolithe stand in rift damage can be really insane... combined with poeple not reactive enough with the cross..

It's not really about healing.. it's more about luck and CD.. if monolithe go in rift 3 time in a row.. you will certainly wipe doing cross...

It's also about how many time 'Bob' will take to go in this *********** Cross... group/personal speed buff aren't an option if you want to go with 2 healers
