  1. I don't post much -- and I know positive comments don't seem to get much traction around here -- but I wanted to extend my sincere personal thanks to the SWTOR development team for the "Jedi Under Siege" content. I'm enjoying the first chapter quite a lot. I appreciate the return to archetypal Star Wars storytelling; and I look forward to more when it arrives. Best to all, R7
  2. I just finished my early-access run through the "Knights of the Eternal Throne" story, and I wanted to say thank you to everyone involved. I had a lot of fun playing through the story, with all its twists and turns and surprises -- and fun is what I look for most when I play games. I realize that complimenting people is almost illegal these days on the internet, but I don't care -- I wanted to say, I was completely entertained, and I had a great time playing. Thank you to everyone involved for all your hard work. Be well. That's all. R7
  3. Many thanks to those who took the time to reply! This is good news for me and my guild. Be well, R7
  4. I saw a couple of people talking about this online as if it were already a done deal. I did some web-searching, and some Forum searching here, but I couldn't find any specifics. So, my guild would really prefer to have the Tatooine Stronghold as their guild hall, instead of the flagship. Is this even possible (yet?) -- and if so, where should I be looking in order to get started? The kiosks on the Fleet station gave no clues that I could see. Thanks for your time and attention, R7
  5. The tactic provided on these forums which helped me beat the mission after many frustrating deaths (Guardian/Defense spec): 1. Set T-7 to shooting mode; and turn off his various aggro-grabbing/threat-raising abilities, except for EMP Pulse. EMP pulse will help him take out the clones, and the lack of any other direct aggro-baiting abilities may help him live to fight a little longer. 2. Target the Emperor. Never switch targets. Keep hammering on the Emperor and always interrupt every ability he triies to cast, using the various Knight abilities you have at your disposal (Awe; Force Push; Kick et cetera). The Emperor's casting times are long, so some form of interrupt ability should always be available to you as you're attacking him. When I adopted these tactics, I finished the battle so quickly, it shocked me. With T-7 distracting the clones, the Emperor isn't much good at defending against a sustained assault, when all his cast powers are being interrupted. Hope this helps someone as the tactics helped me.
  6. No way to hide status, as yet, but try entering the command /dnd This is the "Do Not Disturb" command, which will flag you as wanting to be left alone, without having to have the conversation every single time (which, in itself, is an interruption). The people who can take a hint will see the flag and leave you in peace. The others? You're on your own, I'm afraid. Cheers,
  7. I would actually pay extra money (a dangerous thing to say where EA might see it? :-) ) to have an Ortolan engineer join my freighter crew. I just love the way Bioware has expanded on the species concept, and I think the little blue dudes are very, very cool. Ortolan companions, please!
  8. As a straight male player playing a straight male Smuggler, I really, really wish Beryl Thorne had been made available as a ship crew/final romance option. In the words of Malcolm Reynolds, both Risha and Akaavi Spar are "on my crew", so they're people I protect, but both of these women are extreme personalities, to say the least, and both tend toward the Dark Side more than not. Beyond Beryl, I liked Deera Ulyette and Azalie on Nar Shaddaa, and Alilia on Hoth was an especially compelling character. Beryl, however, remains the one I would've added to my crew (and to my Valentine's list) in a hot second. My opinion, anyway.
