  1. I'm the same. I only use 4 at most on each character, usually Lana, Theron, Senya (if she's alive) and Vette. The fact that there are too many now is the reason I think they should refrain from going overboard with introducing like 10 new characters into the main storyline of 6.0, because you know they'll just end up in that huge companions list never to be used by 90% of players.
  2. oh wow... That hit me right in the heart. Luckily I'm never getting that email on any character lol. Even on my Dark V Warrior, she shook his hand and took him back because she understood he didn't have a choice in doing what he did.
  3. Some of us are solo players who just love the story. I don't do the whole progression thing. It's not that we don't care, we just have no experience with it so can't comment on that particular issue.
  4. And this is why I will forever be annoyed that I couldn't romance Senya. Lol!
  5. Maybe not all then, just the love interests? I just think they should utilize what they already have. They're already coming up with new characters, including a romanceable droid lol!
  6. Hi That was just an example off the top of my head but I see the issue. I was thinking of stand-ins and branching paths similar to the final chapter of KOTET. If Senya & Arcann are alive, they go with you. If not, Lana & Theron come on that mission. They managed some small differences in players stories there and I do think they could manage it again. Well as an LGBTQ person I'm probably being blinded by my own wants a bit lol. But some original companions would make sense with SGR I think, and bringing these characters back for a flirt option in the main story will give them relevancy again, thus a cut scene also for straight players, and everybody wins
  7. That's how I feel and why I made this thread I know the Lana hate is spilling over into here (I knew it would by page two lol!) and I love Lana myself (as someone who is the L part of LGBTQ) but I'm also someone who started out hating Theron and grew to adore him by the end of the Traitor Arc. He's now one of my favorite characters, and he got the ol' Kill Option and his one line of dialogue makes me sad. I also love Senya, she's probably disappeared forever along with Arcann (and if THAT'S all they can come up with for the ladies and dudes that wanted to romance him, well... meh. Just meh.) I just think the devs need to understand how much these companions are valued by the players, and try their best to give something to everyone, as the forums show players are going full dark side over this issue lol!
  8. Yes, yes, I know. The kill option/dead/bricked issue... But let me explain. I've been watching the discussions on the forums and the devs need to realize there are a lot of angry players who feel their favorite companions, either dead or alive, have been left in the dust. Erased. Never to again have a cut scene, or even an email (which, let's be real, takes only a few minutes to write and requires no voice acting). These companions are clearly special to the players and each needs an appropriate amount of screen time in the future. I just feel the devs should avoid introducing too many new characters/romance arcs and focus on who they have (and open up those old romance options for same gender romance thus eliminating the need for an excessive number of new romance options). And I know the saying "you can't please everyone" but they literally could come close to doing that. I'll give an example of how Vette/Torian could come back in 6.0 (And be SGR options as well, two birds one stone lol): Say there is a critical mission objective you , the player, can't get to so you get a holo call from either: Vette, if Torian is dead, or Torian, if Vette is dead (That's literally just two branches). They say they'll take care of whatever dangerous thing that needs doing. Make one option a flirt> Your character can say something along the lines of "You know I love you... So come home safe." If same sex, cue Vette or Torian being a little confused. If originally romanced: have a really sweet response. Now if you took the flirt as a same sex character, have an alliance alert style mission "Torian/Vette wants to speak to you." They ask you what you meant by that, you confess, kiss, fade to black, similar to Jaesa and Nadia's reunion. Straight romances should get this alert too; and they should have something like the sunset scene with Lana. Everyone is happy, straight and lgbt players, yay. Now with other characters like Iresso, Aric, Rusk, it would be so easy to have these characters show up, if alive, leading a huge number of troops together. Kira and Nadia could be training young Jedi for the coming conflict, Khem could be trying to consume force users on the battlefield, Jaesa could be using her powers on a prisoner with vital information. Koth could be aiding Zakuul and helping his home rebuild. But there could be a 1 min holo call from him at least, saying that if you need him he'll come running. There are just so many scenarios you could write these characters into. All-out war, high stakes, everyone involved and fighting for what they believe in, is the best setting to achieve this. I have high hopes for 6.0. But I feel as though they've stretched themselves too thin with having such a large cast of characters, that they need to scale back a little and give the original companions the spotlight for 6.0, because its going to get to a point where they can't give all characters their own moment (which the devs said they want to do). I hope I got my point across ok, I have a bit of trouble when it comes to explaining my thoughts. I just want everyone to have the content they want with their favorite companions. If you agree or have story suggestions for the devs for 6.0, feel free to post them here Note: I know and am aware of the problems with PvP and progression etc but as I play solely for the story I can't comment on that. So please note I'm not disregarding those issues with this post but I feel like I don't have the understanding of those issues enough to comment on them.
  9. +1 for Senya romance. Age gap relationships happen and are a lot more common than people seem to think.
  10. I agree. The devs should work into 6.0 at least a couple of Jaesa/Nadia/Khem reunion length cutscenes, for ALL romances both old and new. Plus a few more emails wouldn't hurt. I think someone once mentioned having an option like in Mass Effect, calling them into your room and having a kiss/hug and fade to black. All that takes is animation, no voice overs. The devs should definitely keep adding more to the romances, sometimes I think they forget how emotionally invested players become in regards to their romance choice
  11. Ok so Lana is one of my favorite characters in game. If people hate her, fine, that's perfectly ok as I absolutely can't stand some of the characters who have proven to be ridiculously popular with players (Arcann for example). But can we please remember that she is the only proper female/female love interest and romance option. And that there are a LOT of us who romance her on female characters. I know we have Jaesa and Nadia who will be made available for same sex romance, and the devs have hinted there will be more... But you know what? We don't know how involved those romances will be. Jaesa could come back, have two flirt options, tell my character she loves her and then follow me around forever like a mindless husk with no further dialogue. If giving Lana a kill option means she disappears from the story virtually forever, like the original LIs, or the killable LIs, then I would rather her stay a non-kill option. I mean I'm really happy for all the straight (and bi) ladies who finally got some decent male love interests, but please think of your lgbt sisters who need their Lana because Bioware forgets we exist Bioware doesn't handle killable characters very well in general. How is it an "optional choice" to kill off a character when they lose all dialogue with those of us that keep them alive? It's pointless.
  12. Eh... Given that Arcann is going to be a romance, being dead or not doesn't seem to be that much of a problem lol Then again... You know, the more I think about the Arcann romance the more I'm wondering if it will be just those kotor-style alliance conversations where your character doesn't have a voiceover. I know people have had issues with older companions coming back as same-sex romanceable suddenly... But I for one feel like if just a few of them were, it could fit with certain characters. I personally feel that bisexuality could work for Jaesa, Mako or Kira. I think Jaesa of either alignment would be the one I would advocate for the most as I feel it would be really easy to write. (Maybe I'm biased because I love Jaesa too & want her to come back for a major story role.) If all companions are class-specific from now on, opening up for SGR would be fairly easy to do aswell I feel. Also I wanted to bring something up, wasn't there evidence from aaaaages ago that certain characters had same gender romance and then it was cut, leaving some files behind? I'm sure I read somewhere that Male Warrior/Quinn was a thing and it got cut. If that's true then at least some of the original companions were intended to be bi.
  13. I think you might have skipped over some of the replies in this thread... As a girl who likes girls irl, my pool of LIs consists of one person: Lana Now don't get me wrong, I have personal headcanon for all my characters that includes their sexuality (it helps me roleplay/stay in character and build a story/background about them in my head). Some of my characters are straight, some are bi, some gay... I've played through a few of the vanilla romances and enjoyed them. But I personally connect with female/female romance more for obvious reasons. Also after Arcann there will be three romanceable guys and no women except for Lana... Anyway keep in mind a lot of female LIs from the original stories haven't come back yet/we don't know when they'll return. So straight guys aren't in a much better boat especially if they had a Knight/Consular/Inquisitor/BH etc. Hope that I explained that well enough & we keep the discussion respectful
  14. They could bring someone back from one of the original class stories who wasn't playable, give them a bit more of a story and make them available. Thana Vesh and Watcher Two have been mentioned, but I can't remember if they can be killed off or not (like a certain person in the Trooper storyline)
